During the first Youth Conference on Careers in Life Sciences in Europe, held on 11th-13th February 2009 in Frankfurt, 30 young scientists from different European countries met stakeholders from institutions, universities and companies with the aim to tackle major obstacles on the career paths of young scientists. This white paper contains several suggestions, for all stakeholders, to become active in removing this obstacles.
