I bought and added three premium plugins:

A simple status update plugin http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/quick-status/. It is also displayed on the main site on the bottom. Would be great if you could use it together with Facebook any time you find something interesting. Admin posts will be posted without check, Member posts will be treated as suggestions and need to be unlocked. Its a speedy way to keep the website up-to-date with Life Science news. I hope you will like it.

A google maps plugin showing the website members on a map: http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/wordpress-google-maps-plugin/ I think its a nice opportunity – its active in the member overview http://www.yebn.eu/members/ and in the individual member profile, based on the city field if people filled it in.

Social Network tabs: http://codecanyon.net/item/social-network-tabs-for-wordpress/full_screen_preview/1982987 I really love the idea of the plugin and am trying to figure out a way that it would include our Facebook, Twitter, linkedin activities. I am not sure what went wrong but on first activation I could not get it to work yet. Will try another time again.

What do you think – are these plugins real improvements and useful? @Robert @Daniel and all?
