The Young European Biotech Network (YEBN) was founded as a non-profit organization in December 2002 in Bertinoro (Italy) by young researchers and student organizations active in several European countries. In November 2015, YEBN was (re-)founded as YEBN e.V. (registered association) in Germany. Today, YEBN connects more than 3,000 members in 14 European countries. The purpose of YEBN is to promote Biotechnology and Life Sciences in Europe and to support young life scientists by acting as a huge platform for information exchange and the establishment of international collaborations. Join us to get useful information about career pathways for young scientists, to get informed about career events and job offers all over Europe or to meet inspiring people.
YEBN consists of national organizations, called Institutional Members (IMs), as well as individual members. This means that you can also join YEBN as an individual person if you are not a member of a Biotech or Life Science organization in your country. To become an individual member, you can fill out the application form (will be available soon) or you can join a Biotech / Life Science organization which is already a YEBN member and automatically become a YEBN member. In case you are an IM, we encourage you to write us an e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) to introduce your organization and to work on the details of your membership.
And don’t forget to sign up for our newsletter as well as to join us on LinkedIn and Facebook in case you want to become a part of YEBN and be informed about career events, conferences and job opportunities. Please also explore the possibilities to become an active member in one of our task groups. We also encourage young life scientists to start new national organizations all over Europe. In case you need help with that, don’t hesitate to contact us.
